It’s time for Spring cleaning – clearing space, making room, simplifying.  I like discovering the beauty of white space in my life.

Today, I am thankful for white space and ways to live a life made simple.

  1. Time alone followed by happy homecomings.
  2. A simple yet heart warming dinner with loved ones.
  3. And for my job, that I enjoy, appreciate and look forward to every day, even on Mondays.

For what are you thankful?

  1. Today will be a quick reminder of those things I should be thankful for, even if sometimes I don’t feel it immediately:

    1) My latest doggie, who I love, but who if he chews up our new rug any further might be at serious risk of staying in the laundry room for. ever.
    2) Rain, not fun on the commute and makes me look slightly chia-pet-ish, but whose life giving quality cannot be overlooked.
    3) Mornings, which offer a fresh start each day.

  2. There is a mug of Chai latte on my desk and this morning I am grateful for:

    1) Days off where I can just be.
    2) Friends willing to stop by, uninvited, and watch silly things or just catch up.
    3) Words that come to me and strengthen my spirit.

  3. After a weekend filled with cultural celebrations from all sides of our family, a cool, crisp morning summons thanks for:

    1) The unique tapestry that comes about from blending a plethora of cultural influences into one family

    2) Shared insight and creativity, where ideas are woven into something greater than any one of us would have created

    3) The hard fought for deep sharing of concerns, thoughts and desires with my partner, which has grounded us for over a year. It is gift, not simply granted, but created by the both of us time and again.

  4. A little late but no less thankful for:

    1. A world I can escape into

    2. A world where I can smell the rain and flowers and feel the soft touch of my partner

    3. My imagination where I can lose myself

  5. On this very long Monday, I am thankful for:

    1) The serendipitous moment when just the right song shuffles along on the Ipod.

    2) The sort of candy that comes along at Easter. I am very happy to eat Peeps but only once each year.

    3) Being able to enjoy a simple, quiet moment.

  6. never too late for my thanks 🙂
Last week I was having a particularly difficult spot at work, and started jotting down stuff I am thankful for, just to declutter my head.. and the thanks kept flowing 🙂 . Top 3 from the list
1)Lush Blue carpets of Blue Bonnets on the way as I drove my car to the insurance repair\estimate center.
2)For wonderful people coming into my life at a time when I can actually give back whole heartedly without expectations, restraint or any unnecessary baggage.
3)The sweet little button-rose bush, I planted 6 yrs ago. It defies every rose-plant trims — sits in a trench thats not too deep, has never been pruned, extremely low maintenance and still gives the happy hot pink blossoms.
