“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” —Margaret Mead

Have you ever found yourself trapped between wondering if you should voice your opinion, or just “let it go”?

What if the people of Iran just “let it go”?

What if those who were at Stonewall, just walked away?

What if Martin Luther King, Jr. decided it wasn’t “his problem to resolve”?

The world, our world, depends on voices.

Today, I am thankful for

  1. those that have the courage and the selflessness to speak up.
  2. those that listen without judgment.
  3. those that endure when it seems the world has stopped listening or caring.

For what are you thankful?

  1. On this sunny Monday morning I am thankful for:

    1) Poetry and those that have the courage to share what they have to say in this form; be it self-centric or world changing.
    2) Those who create, from paintings to architecture, and give that work to us.
    3) Stolen moments in the middle of the day.

  3. I’m thankful that:

I can watch the Supreme court decisions coming out and that the system, flaws and all, is still pretty good.

This morning, when I woke up, even tho I wanted more sleep, I had enough incentive to get up and moving and smile while I did it.

Sprite Zero really isn’t *all* that bad…

  4. I am thankful for…

That feeling of inspiraion you get when you work for a something that matters.

The rewards and challenges of loving someone and letting them love you in return.

  5. Following your inspiring post, today I’m thankful for:

    * Courageous people like Mike Kim, author of “Escaping North Korea” and the people who made the moving documentary, “Seoul Train”
    * The fact that the internet and social media let us know about these events and support them
    * Celebrating the 4th of July with friends — and the excitement and awe of fireworks!
