Today I am simply thankful for ..

  1. the paths of my life – twisted, winding, uphill and down – but always worth the walk.
  2. time spent rediscovering family.
  3. gut-splitting giggles to tears.

For what are you thankful?

  1. Today, I’m thankful that…

    1) I had time this weekend to work on my hobby trailer to prep for a burning man event to which I’ve been looking forward all year;

    2) There was time to run to my folks’ place and do some household wiring my dad needed (even if my parents I get along better in short bursts these days than in the past, it’s still nerve-wracking at times, but this needed doing and worked out well);

    3) That it cooled off, so my wife can enjoy her favorite season: fall! Mine’s summer, and I’ve had plenty of it this year 🙂

  2. this day I felt grateful for simple things that made me grateful to be alive
    – the rain overnight that made everything smell beautiful and fresh
    – the sun that came through the windows this morning
    – the fresh air when I walked out the door

  3. The sky is dark and the cold rain is steady on this Monday morning but I am still grateful for:

    1) 10pm text messages on my phone that make me laugh out loud.
    2) Sexy new electronics sitting in my home office blinking at me coyly.
    3) Dreams that come to me like gifts; where the vision is so vivid I can still feel the strings of the guitar under my soft fingers.

  4. 1) I am thankful that I can channel my evil and angry side into good and productive things, like hammering the living daylights out of evil and angry bullies preying on friends.

    2) I am thankful that they have the honor and decency to tell me when I’ve gone to far, because unlike those that torment and haunt them, they have humanity and compassion.

    3) I am thankful that Nardo is a 12 pound cat and not a gigantic tiger. Especially when I am trying to sleep and he’s hunting to a way to poke me in the face with a paw so I’ll pet him more.
