Today I am thankful that even out of the greatest adversity, some good can come.

I am thankful for resilience, and for the hope that there are those that still seek peace, even when the journey is fraught with terror.

For what are you thankful?

  1. Today, I’m thankful that:

    1) Engineers were inspecting the I64 bridge and found structural issues *before* we experienced an I35W-style collapse (even tho dealing with it is going to be a major nightmare)

    2) My job gives me some flexibility in when/where/how I work so I can work around the traffic timing issues

    3) Such ‘giving’ people work on things like SL’s Burn2 and RL’s Alchemy Festival so I can decompress from time to time 🙂

  2. Today I am thankful for

    1) a family that is alive and for the most part well despite certain struggles.
    2) reorganization of simple things making my life feel less cluttered.
    3) a delicious book and a warm, safe place to tuck myself away when sad or stressed.

  3. nature has a way of pointing out to me that there is always something to be thankful for, like
    – the spectacularly beautiful moon shining through my window last night
    – beautiful cleansing rain after a couple of muggy days
    – having a warm, dry home to return to after being aught in the rain 😀
