September 24 Pumpkins!

If I could wrap my arms around the autumnal equinox, I would reach up and give her a big hug. A chill in the air, hints of yellow on the trees and orange orbs in the fields. It’s time for the Great Pumpkin!

Today I am thankful

.. for my first ever trip to a real pumpkin patch where we bought a beauty the size of a Mini Cooper.

.. for renewed inspiration from being locked in a conference room for three days with some amazing colleagues.

.. for giggle-filled drives through the mountains.

For what are you thankful?

“Pressure is something you feel when you don’t know what the hell you’re doing.”  ― Peyton Manning

That must be it; most of the time I am not sure what the hell I’m doing.

Today I am thankful for

.. a touch of cooler air, especially since our AC has gone out.

.. football. I’m pretty sure it’s why God made men.

.. a good book to read, and the quiet time to read it.

September 3 The Edges

with 3 comments

Life’s edges should be something we can look upon without fear of falling, failing, or regret.

Today I am thankful for all the edges of my life:

– for the sharp edges of stress that remind me how precious peace can be.

– for the soft edges of my frame that remind me to get back on the treadmill today, and tomorrow, and tomorrow’s tomorrow.

– for the fancy edges of creativity that tease at my focus but keep me balanced, nonetheless.

For what are you thankful?
